Stake.com Hacked for $41 Million 💻
Leading crypto casino Stake.com has been a target of a crypto hack which resulted in a total loss around $41 million. The heist forced Stake to briefly suspend all deposits and withdrawals, which has now been resumed.
The hack has been discovered first by the crypto security firm Cyvers, as they detected irregular transactions with Stake.com’s hot wallet. The firm reported that the stolen funds have been converted to Ether (ETH) and transferred to multiple wallets. The hack seems to have spanned few hours, during which the hackers managed to transfer millions in fragments.
What did Stake say?
Stake.com has posted on their X account, confirming the hack while assuring its customers that their crypto funds are safe:
Three hours ago, unauthorised tx’s were made from Stake’s ETH/BSC hot wallets.
We are investigating and will get the wallets up as soon as they’re completely re-secured.
User funds are safe.
BTC, LTC, XRP, EOS, TRX + all other wallets remain fully operational.
